Synthetic ice has been on the market, especially overseas, for several years. The product has improved in quality and been taken to a new level over the last 3 - 4 years. The latest research has made it possible to produce and use High Density Polyethylene Plastic, which is environmentally friendly and has a high performance gliding surface.
The new gliding surface can reach 90% of the gliding effect of original wet ice after it has been installed and prepared. Normal skates are used and the 'ice' or plastic is extremely durable, even with frequent use.
Ice Magic® is warranted up to 15 years depending on thickness and design of 'ice' panel chosen. |
